Oklahoma made a big and impressive addition on Friday night, securing a commitment from Nigel Smith. Almost as impressive as the recruit was the way Smith committed to the Sooners.
A hype video played in the stadium revealed that the Texas prospect was on his way there Oklahoma.
Smith’s word gives Oklahoma another top word in this 2024 recruiting class. He is a consensus four-star recruit and that According to Rivals, he is the 82nd ranked player in the country.
Smith is a 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive end and is a senior at Melissa High School (Melissa, Texas). His strong play last year was one of the main reasons the Cardinals fell 11-3.

He had a number of top offers including the following: Ohio State, Penn State And Texas A&M among others.
