Jeremiah Smith made a statement that he is the best high school football player in the country with a clear and impressive performance on Friday night. The Ohio State Football Association lived up to the hype and then some.
No. 5 Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Opa Locka, Fla.) is putting on an absolute performance at home, trailing No. 20 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, New Jersey) 40-7 at halftime. And Chaminade-Madonna is powered by its talented wide receiver, which backs up its high national ranking.
In the first three quarters, Smith had 16 catches for 316 yards and three touchdowns before being removed from the game. For him to do this against a team ranked TODAY HSS Super 25 in the United States is borderline absurd.

But what Smith shows in this game goes beyond the gaudy numbers. His route running is crisp and fluid. He comes in and out of his breaks and accelerates almost effortlessly, catching the ball with ease and then reaching a new level of speed in the open field.
