As most college football teams prepare to kick off their 2023 season this weekend, the recruiting game has slowed this week. However, there are still some prizes up for grabs. Alabama got a local Three Star Tight End a few days ago, and Arkansas just added some depth to their offensive line.
For example, three-star offensive tackle Kai Greer of Marvin Ridge (NC) announced his signing with the Razorbacks Wednesday night after previously being signed for Stanford.
I’m excited to announce that I’m committed to the University of Arkansas! I want to thank my family @CoachLeggett78and Coach Carter for believing in me and helping me achieve my goals.@CoachSamPittman @CoachCKennedy @Rivals Friedman @RazorbackFB @BrianDohn247 pic.twitter.com/uIlAiU215Z

Greer (5’10, 285 pounds) had offers from 25 other schools, including Boston College, Campbell, Duke and Penn State. He is ranked 7th in the state and 27th at his position, both on Rivals.
It’s not a huge blow, but it doesn’t help Stanford — currently ranked number one No. 22 in the nation in the 2024 Recruiting Rankings. Arkansas moved up one spot, overtaking Ole Miss for 20th place in the country.
